Role And Responsibilities The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under supervision, following established care plans and organizational policies. They collect patient data, communicate findings to the healthcare team, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Excellent communication, mentoring, and teamwork skills are essential, with the ability to adapt to unpredictable situations. The LPN may also participate in committees and projects to enhance patient care quality. Qualifications And Skills Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or successful completion of the LPN Boards, with at least one year of recent LPN experience preferred. Must hold a current LPN license and Basic Life Support certification (BLS). Strong verbal and written communication skills, computer competency, and experience with electronic medical records are required. Flexibility to work daytime hours and float to different locations is necessary.
