The Charge Nurse Position
- Responsible for performing a variety of duties to provide quality nursing care to residents and to coordinate total nursing care for residents.
- Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
- Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, & transfer 100 lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
- Implementing specific procedures and programs
- Participating with the director of nursing and the ADON in establishing specific goals
- Determining work procedures and expediting workflow
- Ensuring compliance with all operating policies and procedures and Oklahoma Department of Health regulations and Federal Health Care Administration regulations
- Communicating with and supervising appropriate personnel
- Providing daily reports and other periodic reports
- Performing all the duties of a certified nursing aide (CNA) and certified medication aide (CMA) when required.
Essential Duties
- Have active RN or LPN Licensure for the State of Oklahoma
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive and compassionate
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a Diploma from an accredited nursing school.
- Take pride in providing high-quality care
Qualifications
