Licensed Practical Nurse - Corrections

About the role

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed in a Corrections setting. The job type is Travel Contract and the shift is Days, 40 hours per week (2x12, 2x8) - will float between Hospital/Jail units with inmates.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assess patient needs and document accordingly.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Perform basic life support (BLS).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient care coordination.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in the past 3 years in these settings: Corrections, Hospital Acute Care (ICU/ED/MS etc).
• Updated resume.
• Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA or Red Cross).
• Current drivers license (DL).
• Active Illinois LPN license.
