Licensed Practical Nurse (Columbus County) - TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS
About the role
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
Responsibilities
- Conduct medication administration
- Submit refill requests
- Aid in medical emergencies
- Aid in medical care with ordered procedures
- Aid in provider clinics
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Qualifications
- Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
Skills
- Knowledge in the principles and practices of nursing care.
- Knowledge in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
- Knowledge in medication and medical terminology.
- Knowledge in communicating information to patients related to treatment and patient care.

Pay
Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.57 (Based on experience and/or education)

This temporary position will be assigned to DPS Prisons Administrative Services.
