Licensed Practical Nurse - Cardiology - FT / 7p - 7a
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in data collection for patient assessments.
- Provides personalized nursing care in conjunction with the Registered Nurse to address the holistic, age-specific needs of patients.
- Administers appropriate nursing interventions aligned with the Plan of Care and clinical standards, integrating the Physician’s medical plans of care.
- Conducts Hourly Rounds adhering to Service Excellence Standards.
- Fosters an environment characterized by caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to safeguard both patients and staff.
- Applies standard work procedures in caring for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and patients at risk for falls.
- Participates in proactive problem-solving initiatives.
- Collaborates with the Registered Nurse to contribute to the department's growth and performance using Evidence-Based Practices.
- Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development by setting personal goals and engaging in educational opportunities.
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Must hold a valid South Carolina LPN license.
- BLS certification is required.
- Completion of Medical Terminology and Basic Computer Courses is preferred.
