Licensed Practical Nurse- Cardiology
About the role
The Ambulatory Licensed Practical Nurse is a member of the collaborative interdisciplinary team. The role involves performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding; reinforcing the patient and family teaching program through health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or licensed Physician. The Registered Nurse oversees the interdisciplinary plan of care and ensures its consistency with the medical treatment plan.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as LPN in the State of New Jersey. Current BLSHCP.
Specialty Experience: 3-5 years clinical experience in Family Medicine/Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatric Pulmonary, Trauma Outpatient, Clinic Services, Infectious Disease, and Mission Services. Strong organizational skills preferred.
Skills
Utilizes the care process consistent with license and scope of practice. Supports performance improvement initiatives by participating in educational activities. Assumes responsibility for continued professional and personal growth.
