Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team on a Full-Time basis in our Geriatric Psychiatry department. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing assigned aspects of patient care in accordance with the established plan of care and under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. Delegated assignments to this position will be based on orientation completion and competency proof.

Requirements

• Education: Associates Degree. Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
• Experience: New graduates accepted. Prior related experience preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Practical Nurse and in good standing. Current BLS Certification. Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar.
• Computer Competency: Basic computer competency skills are expected. All Stoughton Hospital employees have e-mail access and many use a PC to send and retrieve work e-mail; reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate skills - able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas, and prepare applicable charts for reports.

Work Schedule

• Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week
• Work Days: Monday – Friday
• Scheduled Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• No Weekends
• Holiday Rotation: Every 3rd, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm
