About the role
The position involves providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures. It also includes administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and collaborating with physicians, therapy services, consultants, and agencies.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
- Applies knowledge of the patient's diagnoses, limitations, expectations, plan of health, and current status.
- Collaborates with physicians, therapy services, consultants, and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
- Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
- First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
