Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Peritoneal Dialysis. The role involves delivering care in an outpatient dialysis center to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The position does not require prior dialysis experience but offers training and flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients in an outpatient setting, often dealing with multiple co-morbidities.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
• Be part of a supportive team that collaborates and relies on each other positively.
• Float to various facilities during and after training.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification.
• IV certification if required by state regulations.
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body.
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
• One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire.
• Comply with Federal and State requirements related to vaccination against Covid-19.
