About the role
DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Peritoneal Dialysis. The role involves delivering care in an outpatient dialysis center to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The position does not require prior dialysis experience but offers training and flexibility in scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients in an outpatient setting, often dealing with multiple co-morbidities.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
- Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Be part of a supportive team that collaborates and relies on each other positively.
- Float to various facilities during and after training.
Requirements
- Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- IV certification if required by state regulations.
- Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body.
- BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
- One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
- Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire.
- Comply with Federal and State requirements related to vaccination against Covid-19.
