Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an outpatient dialysis center. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate manner, similar to how you would want your own care to be.
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• Work with a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment.
• Provide care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and leveraging a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
• Operate a water treatment system as required by state regulations.
• Participate in clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient health.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• IV certification required if required by state regulations.
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system.
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
• Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Schedule

The position requires a flexible schedule and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
