Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an outpatient dialysis center. The role involves providing care to patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate manner.
• Work with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
• Work with a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment.
• Provide care to patients with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
• Operate a water treatment system as per state regulations.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• IV certification if required by state regulations.
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines.
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
• One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.

Schedule

Float to various facilities during and after your training. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
