Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an outpatient dialysis center. The role involves providing care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in an empathetic and compassionate manner
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families
• Work in a fast-paced environment with patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities
• Operate a water treatment system as required by state regulations
• Leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge to develop unique treatment plans

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice
• CPR certification
• IV certification if required by state regulations
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation
• One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
• Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Knowledge of dialysis procedures and patient care protocols
