Licensed Practical Nurse, Adult Primary Care Carencro Clinic

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and determine appropriate medical decisions.
• Demonstrate competency and accuracy in all work tasks.
• Courteously answer telephone and chart appropriately in EMR.
• Take complete and accurate messages as required.
• Absess the medical and nursing care rendered by self and others.
• Use appropriate Triage protocols via EMR.
• Assists in improving technical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Fills in and assists other office staff members during absences or work overloads.
• Accurately completes nursing duties scheduled during the shift.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and visitors.
• Assure delivery of quality patient care.
• Identify and address patient health status issues.
• Plan and prioritize work to ensure efficient use of time.
• Communicate with leadership about positive changes within the office.
• Maintain a comfortable, orderly, safe, clean, and private patient care environment.
• Participate in the orientation of new personnel.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with other office staff members.
• Greet patients, family members, and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Respond with empathy and positive feedback.
• Take on other responsibilities as needed by the organization.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited LPN program.

Current Louisiana license as LPN.

BLS Certification.
