Licensed Practical Nurse - Acute Dialysis LPN

About the role

DaVita is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The role involves delivering care in an empathetic manner, similar to how one would want their own care to be.

Responsibilities

• Form long-term bonds with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• Be part of a positive team that truly supports and relies on each other.
• Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and leveraging a broad range of nursing skills.
• Engage in a dynamic, fast-paced, and rewarding environment each day.
• Train in a facility other than your assigned home facility, potentially floating to various facilities during and after training.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• IV certification (if required by state regulations).
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and governing body (as required by CMS guidelines) prior to operating the water treatment system.
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred (or as required by state regulation).
• One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook (functional proficiency in DaVita's computer systems required within 90 days of hire).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment color blind test (accommodations may be provided).

Pay

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
