About the role

As a Licensed Plumber at Roto-Rooter, you’ll provide a wide range of plumbing services, including faucet repairs, water heater installations, and plumbing system replacements. Earn up to a $3,000 signing bonus upon completed training, with our most experienced plumbers earning over $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer service calls, conduct thorough inspections, diagnose plumbing issues, and provide accurate solutions and estimates.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and water softeners.
• Perform sewer and drain cleaning in diverse environments, including basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters.
• Ensure work sites are cleaned and restored to pre-job conditions.
• Prepare invoices, total costs of services/products, collect payment, and explain Roto-Rooter’s guarantee using a provided smartphone.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• State plumbing license (Journeyman license or equivalent as specified by state).li>
• Three or more years of repair and service plumbing experience.
• Proven track record in selling plumbing products and services.
• Full knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Must obtain Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training (OSHA requirement) within the first year of employment.
• Unlicensed plumbers must obtain certification as soon as eligible by state law.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for effective customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for client and co-worker relations.
