Responsibilities
- Repair, install, replace, test, and solve issues with water and medical gas supply and distribution systems.
- Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures according to blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using tools such as a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
- Support colleagues or external workers with projects or equipment installations.
- Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
- Offer training to additional team members for minor plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned.
- Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
- Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements.
- Participate in HSE programs and activities, such as incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment.
- Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish sophisticated assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
- Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required.
- Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and CMMS.
