About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who is passionate about helping residents improve their mobility, independence, and quality of life in a supportive skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in providing safe, effective, and individualized therapy services based on each resident’s needs and care plan.
  • Provide compassionate, professional care while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Follow all facility and departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
  • Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained, readily available, and in good working condition.
  • Promptly report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow infection control procedures and all applicable safety protocols.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Report missing, damaged, or unclear labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to support resident goals and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Florida license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing, nursing home, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
  • Ability to follow safety, infection control, and facility policies and procedures.

Pay

$35–$40 per hour.
