About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities

  • Follow patient-specific treatment plans
  • Chart accurately and timely
  • Utilize therapy software
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Assist in patient rehabilitation to improve functional abilities and quality of life
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team efforts to deliver comprehensive care
  • Ensure patient safety, rights, and confidentiality are maintained
  • Assist in patient evacuation and support daily operations
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff, vendors, and patients
  • Adhere to company policies, laws, and regulations governing post-acute care

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
  • Hold an active state license
  • Preferably have one year of post-acute care experience
  • CPR certification is required
