About the role
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow patient-specific treatment plans
- Chart accurately and timely
- Utilize therapy software
- Demonstrate excellent customer service
- Assist in patient rehabilitation to improve functional abilities and quality of life
- Participate in interdisciplinary team efforts to deliver comprehensive care
- Ensure patient safety, rights, and confidentiality are maintained
- Assist in patient evacuation and support daily operations
- Maintain professional relationships with staff, vendors, and patients
- Adhere to company policies, laws, and regulations governing post-acute care
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
- Hold an active state license
- Preferably have one year of post-acute care experience
- CPR certification is required
