Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Licensed Optician to join a dynamic optometry team. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance in eyewear selection, interpret prescriptions accurately, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting comprehensive eye care services.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and explain optical prescriptions to patients clearly and accurately.
- Absorb and recommend appropriate frames, lenses, and coatings based on vision needs and lifestyle.
- Support eye exams and assess patient requirements as part of the care team.
- Manage multiple prescriptions daily and ensure precise order processing.
- Build strong patient relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
- Maintain high standards of customer service in a fast-paced retail/clinical environment.
- Utilize automated optical equipment and systems effectively.

Qualifications
- Must be a State Board Certified Licensed Optician
- AA or BA/BS in a related field preferred
- 2–5 years of related eyewear experience in a similar office environment
- Proven success in a retail or clinical setting with diverse patient needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
