Job Overview/Summary

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Licensed Optician to join a dynamic optometry team. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance in eyewear selection, interpret prescriptions accurately, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting comprehensive eye care services.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and explain optical prescriptions to patients clearly and accurately.
• Absorb and recommend appropriate frames, lenses, and coatings based on vision needs and lifestyle.
• Support eye exams and assess patient requirements as part of the care team.
• Manage multiple prescriptions daily and ensure precise order processing.
• Build strong patient relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
• Maintain high standards of customer service in a fast-paced retail/clinical environment.
• Utilize automated optical equipment and systems effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be a State Board Certified Licensed Optician
• AA or BA/BS in a related field preferred
• 2–5 years of related eyewear experience in a similar office environment
• Proven success in a retail or clinical setting with diverse patient needs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
