Licensed Optical Manager L3 - Sam's
Position Summary
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and in-stock and inventory levels. Budgets and forecasts sales, assesses economic trends and community needs, models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Member service approaches and techniques to resolve Member needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as good community members. Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety operational and quality assurance reviews, developing and implementing action plans to improve performance, providing direction and guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives, and directing the Vision Center Associates in ensuring confidentiality of information documentation and assigned records.
What you'll do...

- Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates in the Vision Center by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members selecting products based on Members needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining Optical equipment.
- Upholds the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates and listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing Company policies and procedures, and suggesting resolution for Associates.
- Captures and analyzes data to make informed decisions, coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments, develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifies and communicates goals and objectives, builds accountability for and measures progress in achieving results, identifies and addresses improvement opportunities, and demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning.

Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of 2 or more years' of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

- Supervising Associates.
Additional Information
Minimum hourly wage range for this position is $38.50 - $50.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
