About the role
Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) play a vital role in our Medical/Surgical Inpatient Units. We have Full-Time (3 shifts per week), Part-Time, and Per Diem positions available, with 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis (day/night/weekend). Opportunities are available across the following units:
- Medical Specialty Care Unit (MSCU)
- Intermediate Special Care Unit (ISCU)
- Hematology/Oncology Inpatient
- Ortho Inpatient Surgical
- Trauma Acute Care Inpatient Surgical
- General and Vascular Thoracic Inpatient Surgical
- Heart and Vascular
- Neuroscience/ENT
- Neuro Special Care Unit (NSCU)
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including but not limited to performing ADLs, obtaining clinical data (vital signs, heights, weights), utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens, performing point-of-care testing, and recording results in the medical record.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc.
- Assist visitors and answer telephones.
- Support new co-workers in learning departmental workflows.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in the State of NH required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred but not required.
- Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
