Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Remote (1099 Contractor) Telehealth | Florida & New York | Flexible Scheduling | Per-Session Compensation Guiding Star Mental Health is expanding its workers' compensation behavioral health services. We're seeking licensed mental health therapists to provide evidence-based therapy to individuals recovering from workplace injuries. This is a fully remote, independent contractor opportunity offering flexible scheduling, consistent referral opportunities, and comprehensive administrative support. Responsibilities Provide shortterm, goaloriented therapy addressing injuryrelated psychological distress, chronic pain, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and barriers to recovery and return to work. Deliver evidencebased treatment aligned with each patient's psychological evaluation and individualized treatment plan. Monitor and document measurable patient progress toward functional recovery and treatment goals. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation supporting medical necessity and ongoing treatment authorization. Coordinate with our clinical team to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes. Qualifications Active, unrestricted clinical license to provide independent psychotherapy in Florida and/or New York (LMHC, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent staterecognized credential). Training or experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or other evidencebased therapeutic approaches. Experience with chronic pain, trauma, occupational injuries, or medical populations is preferred. Comfortable providing telehealth services and exercising independent clinical judgment. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Familiarity with workers' compensation cases is a plus but not required.
