About the role
The Licensed Mental Health Therapist is responsible for counseling sessions with patients enrolled in Psychedelic, PTSD, Depression and/or Anxiety studies.
Responsibilities
- Meets with patients to provide initial and ongoing counseling sessions according to study protocols.
- May conduct initial and ongoing assessments.
- Maintains records of client meetings and progress.
- Follows all safety protocols.
- Complete all sponsor-assigned training and meetings to obtain rater certification and re-certification according to protocol requirements.
- Attend and successfully complete all company training programs; participate in webinars and other study meetings as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of subjects, customers and company information.
- Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, build partnerships within the team and across the organization at large, and model teamwork.
- Perform all other duties that may be requested or assigned.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in counseling or similar and 2+ years' experience in counseling with PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- An active, unrestrictive license as a mental health counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LPC, or similar) in the state of work is required.
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, and web applications, and the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, subjects, managers, and external customers.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities.
- Must be professional, respectful of others, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic.
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and dependability.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
