About the role

Mavida Health is an online therapy and psychiatry platform focused on supporting women through major transitional moments in life—from PCOS & PMDD through menopause and everything in between. We provide integrated, evidence-based care through individual, group, and couples therapy as well as medication management. As a WPS Healthcare Company, we combine the speed, autonomy, and impact of a high-growth startup with the resources and reach of a legacy healthcare organization.

We are hiring a Licensed Mental Health Therapist on a contract-to-full-time W2 basis with flexible, part-time hours (evenings and weekends especially) to expand access to specialized, whole-person care in women’s mental health.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and assessments of patients, including reviewing medical histories and formulating diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centered clinical care aligned with the Mavida clinical model.
  • Utilize patient-reported data in sessions (measurement-based care) and to inform treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and psychiatric nurse practitioners, to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patients' progress or changing clinical needs.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records (EHR), in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing psychiatric nursing practice.

  • High ethical standards and maintenance of patient confidentiality in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying complex medical information clearly and understandably (or willingness to grow in this area).
  • Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools to facilitate patient-centered virtual care.
  • Interest in a contract role that may convert to full-time with mutual fit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional state licensures in CA, NY, NJ, or TX.
