Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults.
  • Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations.
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment approaches, and symptom management to support insight, empowerment, and recovery.
  • Create and deliver engaging process, psychoeducational, and skills groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow therapists to provide integrated mental health care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning.
  • Provide crisis support through a shared on-call rotation.
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • Work in person at our Columbia, MD location.
  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Active independent licensure: LGSW, LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC.
  • Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment.
  • Comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EMDR training or certification.
  • Experience working with adults in substance use recovery or OTP setting.
  • Comfort working with both adolescents and adults.

Pay

Salary Range: Up to $100,000 annually

This position is eligible for additional commission-based compensation tied to clinical participation and engagement. Therapists earn additional compensation for each participant in their assigned therapy groups and individual sessions. With consistent census and strong clinical outcomes, total annual compensation is up to $100,000, with the potential for high performers to earn more based on engagement.
