Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Independent Contractor Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based treatment approaches via secure telehealth platforms.
• Conduct initial clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate virtually with an interdisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and APPs, to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in new provider orientation and clinical team meetings.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR system.
• Practice standard of care for the delivery of psychotherapy services.
• Appropriately refer patients internally for medication management, psychotherapy, and other needed treatment modalities.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license as an LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent in the state where services are delivered.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Must be fully licensed to practice independently (no provisional or associate licensure).
• Minimum of two years of experience in outpatient psychotherapy preferred.
• Tech-savvy with comfort using EHR systems and HIPAA-compliant video platforms.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of a variety of models and theories of mental illness & related issues.
• Understanding of diagnostic criteria for dual conditions and ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong clinical documentation and time-management skills.
• Reliable high-speed internet and private, secure workspace for telehealth.
• Ability to provide at least 20 hours per week of direct patient care.
