About the role
To provide high-quality acute mental health and/or chemical dependency services to patients and their family members. The goal of these services is to treat the presenting illness and return the patient to a previous or higher level of functioning within the community. The role will primarily support intake evaluations for adult outpatient services in the Mental Health & Addiction Services department. Individuals in this position will conduct a structured psychosocial intake assessment to triage appropriate level of care and provide program recommendations for community members seeking mental health and substance use disorder services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structured psychosocial intake assessments
- Triage appropriate level of care for patients
- Provide program recommendations for mental health and substance use disorder services
- Deliver assessment, referral, group, individual, couples, and family therapies
- Perform short-term treatment
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in one of the mental health professions
- California license as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist
- Prefer two (2) years' licensed clinical experience with adolescents and their families
- Experience in assessment, referral, group, individual, couples, and family therapies
- DBT experience preferred
- Experience with acute psychiatric care strongly preferred
Pay
$59.72 - $79.37 USD per hour
Physical Requirements
- Medium Work - requires standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently
- Work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing and squatting
