About the role

Responsible for assessment of all psychosocial factors and participation in treatment planning of patients/families.

Education

Master's Degree plus at least one year of training in a specialty resulting in certification.

Experience

One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

• Ability to deal comfortably with people in emotional need in a competent, calm manner
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and organization in performance
• Minimum of one year experience in hospital or medical setting
• Flexible schedule required; some evening work may be required
• Pager rotation for evening and weekend coverage required
• Proficiency in communication skills at all levels
• Proficiency in observation, assessment and problem-solving skills
• Recognition and commitment to continuing professional development (e.g., professional affiliations: NASW, ACSW, GSHSW, licensure)
