About the role

Responsible for assessment of all psychosocial factors and participation in treatment planning of patients and families.

• Participate in treatment planning

Requirements

• Master's Degree plus at least one year of training in a specialty resulting in certification
• One year of related experience
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures
• Licensed as a Masters Social Worker
• Minimum of one year experience in a hospital or medical setting

Qualifications

• Ability to deal comfortably with people in emotional need in a competent, calm manner
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, and organization in performance
• Proficiency in communication skills at all levels
• Proficiency in observation, assessment, and problem-solving skills
• Recognition and commitment to continuing professional development (e.g., professional affiliations: NASW, ACSW, GSHSW, licensure)

Schedule

• Flexible schedule required
• Some evening work may be required
• Pager rotation for evening and weekend coverage required
