About the role
Bronx Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Licensed Master Social Worker (Spanish Language) to provide professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services in a recovery-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning
- Develop treatment plans with individuals and the treatment team; monitor and evaluate progress; modify treatment plans as needed
- Determine discharge needs and appropriate community resources
- Establish and maintain relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Proficiency in Spanish at Level 3 or higher (selected candidate will be tested)
- Candidates within State Service may transfer with one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
- Must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists
- If appointed, may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider, obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, and actively participate to allow billing through Medicare and Medicaid
Failure to maintain licensure, registration, or billing eligibility may result in removal from the position.

Pay
- Eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $4,000
- Shift differentials: 7% for evening shift and weekend days, 10% for night shift
