About the role

As a Licensed Master Social Worker at Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services in a recovery-oriented environment to individuals with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Providing crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning
• Developing treatment plans with individuals and treatment team; monitoring and evaluating progress; and modifying treatment plans as needed
• Determining discharge needs and appropriate community resources
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) – eligible for hire under the NY HELPS program (outside or within State Service)
• OR, for candidates within State Service: one year of permanent competitive or 55‑b/55‑c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
