About the role
Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center (MHFPC) is recruiting for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide professional social work services to individuals with mental illness as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose emotional and behavior disorders
- Provide psychotherapy
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments
- Develop assessment-based treatment plans
Requirements
- Licensed and currently registered as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program. Candidates within State Service can also be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
To maintain employment, you must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program). If appointed, you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider, obtain and provide a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, and actively participate to allow for billing through Medicare and Medicaid.

Pay
Hiring rate: $106,681 (includes statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 23, Geographic Pay Differential, and Mid-Hudson Adjustment).
Job rate: $129,650 (includes statutory job rate, Geographic Pay Differential, and Mid-Hudson Adjustment).
