About the role
Farmers Insurance is seeking Licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Agents to join its Wisconsin team. This role involves representing one of the most recognized insurance brands in the country, helping individuals, families, and small business owners protect their homes, vehicles, businesses, and financial futures.
Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective and existing clients to evaluate insurance needs
- Educate customers on available coverage options and risk management strategies
- Present customized insurance solutions for personal and commercial exposures
- Recommend property, casualty, auto, home, umbrella, and business insurance products
- Cross-sell additional products when appropriate
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Deliver outstanding service throughout the customer lifecycle
- Conduct policy reviews and coverage assessments
- Generate referrals through excellent customer experiences
- Possess active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License
- May have an active Life & Health Insurance License
- Maintain an active sales pipeline
- Follow up consistently with prospects and existing clients
- Achieve individual production and retention goals
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License required
- Life & Health License preferred but not required
- Assistance may be available for obtaining Life & Health license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and ethical business conduct
- Ability to build trust and credibility with clients
- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities
- Comfortable working in a goal-oriented environment
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- No minimum years of insurance experience required
Qualifications
- Due to industry regulations, carrier requirements, and licensing standards, all candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background review.
- The review may include: Criminal history verification, Financial responsibility review, Licensing eligibility verification, Employment verification, and certain felony convictions, misdemeanor offenses, bankruptcies, or other regulatory concerns may impact eligibility for employment and insurance licensing approval.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service, sales, or relationship-management experience
- Financial services, banking, real estate, or insurance background
- Strong networking and business development skills
