About the role

The Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center, located on our medical center campus, provides advanced cardiovascular care, bringing together expert providers, innovative treatments and compassionate support for patients across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the equipment and facilities in reliable operation and in good repair.
  • Performs a variety of routine general and preventative maintenance duties.
  • Participates as needed in equipment installations.
  • Plans and performs a wide variety of routine general building maintenance repairs and services.
  • Sets up and installs furniture.
  • Participates as needed in major renovations, new construction and alterations.
  • Inspects and performs preventative maintenance and safety tests as required.
  • Corrects problems encountered and/or promptly reports equipment/system operation problems to the supervisor.
  • Appropriately contacts outside service assistance for major equipment failure beyond employee's skill level.
  • Maintains a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance records, reports and files as required.
  • Maintains tools and supplies necessary to perform duties.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Relevant industrial/commercial maintenance experience: Preferred

Qualifications

  • State-certified licensure as relevant to trade: Required Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required

Skills

  • Highly skilled in performing a wide variety of routine general and preventative maintenance duties.
  • Experience in setting up and installing furniture.
  • Knowledge of major renovations, new construction and alterations.
  • Ability to inspect and perform preventative maintenance and safety tests.
  • Proven ability to correct problems encountered and report to supervisor.
  • Strong record-keeping skills.
  • Proficient in maintaining tools and supplies.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $28.45 to $42.63. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
