Licensed Esthetician

Juniper Preserve, located in Bend, OR, is seeking a driven part-time Licensed Esthetician to administer professional facials, waxing services, body treatments, and makeup applications for our guests.

About the role

This is a seasonal position lasting 6 months or less, offering a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. The Esthetician will contribute to a fast-paced hospitality-focused property as part of Troon, a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Administer professional facials, waxing services, body treatments, and makeup applications in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Perform services within the allotted time and maintain punctuality for shifts and appointments.
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling to support spa needs.
• Properly care for equipment and manage product usage to assist with cost controls.
• Answer spa phones with proper etiquette and book appointments based on technician availability.
• Maintain full knowledge of the spa menu and verbally explain each service to guests.
• Perform prep work, clean and restock rooms, and maintain sanitation standards.
• Competently perform facial treatments and modalities, including:
  • European facials
  • Body scrubs and wraps
  • Light chemical peels
  • Paraffin foot and hand wax
  • Hard and soft body waxing
  • Steam and high-frequency treatments
  • Facial massage
  • Day, night, and wedding makeup application
  • Eyelash applications
  • Skin consultations and treatment of various skin conditions
• Clean makeup brushes daily and shampoo them weekly.
• Clean and refill barbicide weekly, and properly stow implements after sanitation.
• Retain product knowledge and upsell clients with retail products and in-room services.
• Assist with linen disbursement, retail display, and front desk responsibilities as needed.
• Communicate any staff or guest occurrences requiring attention to management.
• Work without direct supervision and maintain a positive, quality work environment.
• Attend and participate in training and staff meetings regularly.

Requirements

• Current Oregon Esthetician license.
• Knowledge and experience with all basic and advanced esthetician services.
• Excellent communication skills and a sincere appreciation for guests of all ages.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Patience and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to stay on task and manage time effectively.
