Brief Description
Forest Lawn is seeking a Licensed Embalmer to join its team of professionals who are dedicated to their craft with integrity and respect.
Responsibilities
- Embalm, dress, and apply cosmetics to bodies.
- Meet with families for cosmetic interviews and adjustments.
- Process paperwork related to decedents.
- Uphold Forest Lawn’s quality and ethical service standards.
- Safeguard the dignity of human remains.
Requirements
- Current valid California Embalmer License.
- Completed apprenticeship and licensed to perform duties as a Licensed Embalmer.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school in Mortuary Science or Embalming.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Able to lift 100lbs.
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
