About the role
Brian P. Ganley, DMD Family Dentistry is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Dental Assistant to join their team in Groton, MA. The position offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting for procedures such as crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, fillings, etc.
- Capture digital radiographs (BWXs, FMX, select PAs)
- Capture digital scans using the intraoral scanner for crown/bridge cases and appliance fabrication
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization protocols
- Manage patient flow efficiently throughout the day
- Instrument sterilization and maintaining infection control standards
- Set up and break down rooms for various procedures
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions
- Navigate Dentrix Ascend for charting, imaging, and patient documentation
- Order supplies for the office and keep track of supply needs
- Support front office with patient scheduling and flow
- Maintain inventory and order dental supplies
- Aid in treatment plan presentations and case acceptance
- Contribute ideas to enhance patient experience and practice efficiency
- Wear multiple hats to support practice growth
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Dental Assistant License
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Radiology certification (Massachusetts required)
- Strong chairside assisting skills
- Proficiency with digital radiography
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Ability to work full-time, including one Saturday per month
- Proficient in Dentrix Ascend OR willing to learn our software system
- Experience with intraoral scanners OR willing to learn digital impression technology
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience
- Experience with restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, bridges)
- Experience with prosthodontics (dentures, partials, implants)
- Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend practice management software
- Experience using intraoral scanners for digital impressions

Position Details
Schedule: Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: One Saturday per month (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM but schedule can vary)
Total Clinical Hours: 36 hours per week
Consistent schedule with predictable hours and minimal weekend commitment!
