About the role
InPwr, Inc. is seeking experienced Field Service Electricians to join our dynamic team. We are an award-winning electrical design-build firm with offices in multiple locations across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory.
- Able to adapt to various working environments and make decisions based on industry best practices.
- Understand materials specific to various work environments for sight-specific installations.
- Proficient skills in reading project drawings, submittals, and layout.
- Develop, build, and maintain exceptional customer relationships through dedication, efficiency, and determination.
- Absorb and implement design changes to the original scope of work.
- Assist InPwr Inc. management and customers with design changes to the original scope of work.
- Track and document change order and time & material work.
- Maintain up-to-date as-built drawings and assist CAD department with design changes.
- Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
- Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
- Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas-powered).
- Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in Health and Safety Program.
- Operate and use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
- Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
- Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoes, and lift in a safe manner.
- Practice and comprehend safe work procedures per Company policy.
- Operate two-handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.
- Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
- Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
- Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas-powered).
- Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in Health and Safety Program.
- Operate and use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
- Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
- Lift 51 pounds.
- Constantly move your feet.
- Climb ladders (all types).
- Complete overhead work for full-day assignments.
- Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
- Secure tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
- Talk or listen while performing duties.
Requirements
- At least 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Active Journeyman Electrician License.
- Sound experience in Commercial Service/Maintenance.
- Flexible to be able to work customer-directed schedule when needed.
- Strong safety record.
- Detail and goal-oriented.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with electrical systems from 120/240 single phase through 480v three phase.
- Data, fire alarm and control familiarity is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a willingness to adapt to any situation.
- Familiarity with technology and a willingness to learn and adapt to various ways of communicating with the customer.
