About the Role

MPAC Healthcare is looking for Licensed Clinicians (LMHC, LMFT, LISW) who are excited to set a new bar for the quality of care provided to seniors. The autonomous nature of the Licensed Clinician role lets clinicians function like a private practice without the hassle of managing a back office. The majority of your time will be clinically focused, with the remainder dedicated to patient documentation and facility correspondence. You will work as an on-site clinical provider with residents and their families, functioning as an active, lead member of an interdisciplinary team addressing residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs.

You will have the opportunity to manage your caseload, schedule, and ultimately, your salary. Responsibilities include providing initial assessments, utilizing psychotherapy to address mental health issues, offering ongoing support, and ensuring all documentation requirements are met while staying up-to-date on Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessments and utilize psychotherapy to address mental health issues.
• Offer ongoing support to residents and their families.
• Function as an active, lead member of an interdisciplinary team addressing residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs.
• Manage all documentation requirements and stay current with Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including other MPAC providers, to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
• Foster open communication with facility teams and your Regional Clinical Manager to ensure the success of clinical programs.
• Take initiative and communicate effectively in multiple settings with patients, families, nursing staff, facility social services teams, and other MPAC providers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and a valid LISW, LMFT, or LMHC license in the state for which you are applying.
• Two years of counseling and therapy experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic approaches.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work as a member of a team with a positive attitude.
• High level of organization to manage patient needs and document effectively.
• Comfortable working in the ever-changing environment of a skilled nursing facility.
• Knowledge of the Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
• Passion for working with older adults.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Experience in the nursing home or healthcare setting is a plus.
