Licensed Clinical Therapist (School Health)
About the role
New Hanover County Health and Human Services is seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Professional to support the emotional well-being and success of students across the county.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments
- Complete initial intake evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Identify client needs and connect students and families to appropriate community resources
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Submit billing information for reimbursement
- Prepare written reports as required
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Experience and education sufficient to obtain one of the required licenses: LCSW, LCMHC, or LPA
- One of the following licenses with the ability to practice in North Carolina: LCSW, LPA, or LCMHC
- Valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina

Excellent communication and decision-making skills, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Pay
The hiring range for this position begins at $56,351. Salary will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.
Schedule
Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Must be available to work during emergency situations.
