Licensed Clinical Supervisor - Child First

Responsibilities

• Provide Child First group reflective supervision and case conference meetings on a weekly basis, using videotape as appropriate.
• Provide weekly reflective supervision with each Clinician, Family Resource Coordinator, and Clinical Team.
• Maintain an “open door” policy for staff supervision, consultation, and support, as needed.
• Review progress notes, formulations, and clinical diagnoses for all children and families.
• Review and sign all Child and Family Plans of Care (Treatment Plans).
• Build and maintain cohesive, supportive, reflective, respectful relationships among staff.
• Review all process data monthly with staff, discuss areas for improvement, and respond to clinical areas of need with specific training for staff.
• Ensure the provision of clinically sound, ethically implemented interventions from the Child First teams they supervise.
• Monitor and track submission of paperwork (case notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, assessments and screening tools, etc.) and review for regulatory adherence, clinical integrity, and timeliness of submission.
• Hold staff accountable to policies and practices of the program, agency, and licensing/overseeing bodies.
• Aid the Program Director in the recruitment and training of new employees.
• Provide direct and indirect support and supervision to staff in the field as needed.
• Be available for crisis management and support for the teams supervised.
• Provide on-call services as determined by the Program Director.

Skills

• Ability to utilize and facilitate a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Knowledge and understanding of early childhood development, CASSP Principles, social/ecological theory and application, family systems theory and application, cognitive-behavioral theory and clinical application, and child and family development.
• Crisis intervention and management.
• Basic knowledge/understanding of common psychotropic medications.
• Experience working with and supervising diverse populations.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to diverse audiences and in diverse venues.
• Ability to hire and develop a caliber staff capable of providing high-quality services, accountable to job responsibilities, and motivated to achieve high performance.
• Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications, including data management skills.
• Project management skills and the ability to resolve complex problems and issues, implement program policy and procedures, and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist.
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or another human services field required.
• Minimum of two years of experience providing clinical supervision in child welfare, mental health, or prevention programs required.
• Experience in direct application and supervision of family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, family systems, and clinical case management.
