About the role
We are seeking a Master’s Level Behavioral Health Provider to provide GI-focused behavioral services to our adult GI patients. As a core member of the clinical team, you will have access to ongoing training and support from a GI-focused clinical team (GI/MD, GI-experienced Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians) to help you develop a working knowledge of digestive health conditions (IBD, IBS, GERD, SIBO, etc.) and implement GI-focused psychological services. Your role will complement services provided by other members of the care team. Prior experience in GI Psychology and/or Health Psychology is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of care providers (including MDs, Dietitians) in a digital integrated healthcare environment to provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to member care.
- Utilize evidence-based clinical interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relaxation strategies (diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychoeducation (brain-gut connection, coping with chronic illness), and gut-directed hypnotherapy.
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments to design and implement relevant and concrete goals that support clients in achieving meaningful outcomes related to their GI condition(s).
- Initiate and maintain health records and encounters in the electronic health record and comply with guidelines outlined within company clinical protocols and other related manuals.
- Participate in professional training activities to maintain licensure and advance knowledge base.
- Participate in clinical coordination meetings with other care team members.
- Contribute to company-wide development of psychological best practices and provide feedback to share your professional experience with other team members and further improve member experiences.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or other relevant field.
- Active LCSW license to practice therapy in good standing.
- 3+ years of relevant experience delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, teaching relaxation strategies that impact brain-gut connection, and Motivational Interviewing (experience with GI-focused care is a plus).
- Ability to work alongside and communicate effectively with other care providers (e.g., MD, Nurse Practitioner, Health Coach, Registered Dietitian).
- Comfortable and competent with using common administrative technologies (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Office, Google Drive, or equivalent), charting electronically, and experience delivering on telehealth platforms preferred.

Pay
Competitive salary range: $85,000 - $90,000 USD with annual bonus eligibility.
