Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Full Time

About the role

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Hackensack Meridian Health plays a crucial role in the multidisciplinary clinical treatment team. They provide psychological and social interventions to support patients and families dealing with behavioral health issues, hospitalization, disease, and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans based on findings.
• Offer individual and group therapy sessions, and share and interpret information with staff, families, and other agencies.
• Document all necessary information in a timely manner, adhering to department and hospital policies.
• Adhere to licensure regulations and evidence-based treatment options.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and support persons to create comprehensive discharge plans.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient health information and participate in emergency responses.
• Refer patients to community agencies and resources as needed.
• Assist with the orientation and supervision of new staff members.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to social work/counseling students.
• Identify and address the unique needs of the patient population served.
• Lift, push, and stand as required for the job.
• Comply with organizational competencies and receive proper supervision.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• At least 2 years of post-licensure work experience.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory, disease management, and treatment techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
• Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to others.
• NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification.
