Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

About the role

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states. We are hiring a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Hamilton, NJ (position primarily located in Rockville, MD). The LCSW applies best practice within a community-based setting to use social work methods for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Main responsibilities include screening medical records, conducting interviews and assessments, setting treatment goals, and arranging for expediting and coordinating services.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to youth with mental disorders, as well as various behavioral and emotional disturbances
• Maintain liaison with area resources and coordinate social service activities
• Assess and plan for the social requirements of youth and families
• Develop social service programs and resources
• Provide consultation on various social aspects of procedures, policies, and services to staff
• Comply with CRMC policies
• Serve as an active member of each person’s Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan development and ISP
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work (MSW)
• Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and families
• Ability to collect, interpret, and graph data
• Understanding and commitment to community-based support for youth with behavior challenges
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Pay

Starting pay is $75,000 per year
