Licensed Clinical Social Worker III

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, LLC (KABS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker III to support our government customer at the Indian Health Service (IHS) Haskell Service Unit in Lawrence, KS. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act.

About the Role

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker III (LCSW) provides on-site mental health treatment services to patients of the Haskell Indian Health Center. Services include psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of DSM 5-TR diagnoses. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary patient-care team to deliver biopsychosocial diagnostic and treatment services.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy using licensed clinical mental health training, including individual, group, couple, and family therapy.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for a variety of DSM 5-TR diagnoses, considering physical and mental health connections and underlying psychopathologies.
• Screen for suicidal ideation, develop safety plans, and refer for further assessment as needed.
• Address conditions such as abuse and neglect, learning and vocational problems, lifestyle factors, and socioeconomic needs.
• Follow standard phases of mental health treatment: evaluation, diagnosis, active treatment, and termination of services.
• Maintain accurate records, complete behavioral health intakes, update treatment plans, and document discharges within 24 hours.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and collaborate with various departments to ensure client needs are met.
• Assist the Behavioral Health Supervisor with collateral duties and perform special assignments as requested.
• Chart clinical data using approved software for diagnosis, treatment, referrals, and research.
• Prepare statistical and narrative reports and share clinical/program information as appropriate.
• Maintain professional skills through literature, professional organizations, and relevant training.
• Comply with all facility policies, federal regulations, and accrediting organization standards.
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy practices, ensuring the security of patient SPII and PII.

Performance Standards

• Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic interviews using DSM-5-TR criteria. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans updated every 90 days or sooner if warranted.
• Psychotherapy Delivery: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and document therapeutic goals, interventions, and progress in the EHR.
• Suicide and Crisis Intervention: Screen for suicidal ideation, develop safety plans, and coordinate referrals for high-risk cases.
• Collaborative Care: Engage in interdisciplinary care coordination with fewer than 2 documented instances of failure.
• Documentation and Recordkeeping: Record all patient encounters within 24 hours, ensuring 100% compliance with professional standards.
• Patient Satisfaction: Maintain high patient satisfaction with fewer than 2 substantiated complaints per quarter.
• Cultural Competence: Deliver culturally informed and trauma-sensitive care in accordance with facility standards.
• Reporting and Deliverables: Participate in quality improvement efforts and submit data by deadlines.
• Credentialing and Compliance: Maintain current licensure, CEUs, and mandatory trainings with fewer than 2 instances of non-adherence.
• Safety and Infection Control: Comply with clinic safety and infection control policies, avoiding preventable violations.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Current unrestricted LCSW license in Kansas and/or Missouri.
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure professional experience, with active psychotherapy provision in the past two years.
• Completion of all required HHS, IHS, and HIHC annual trainings and CEUs to maintain licensure.
• Provide license copy and verification for credentialing and privileging at the Haskell Indian Health Center.
• Secure a Tier II favorable adjudication as determined by the IHS.
• Complete credentialing, privileging, and background clearance before rendering services.
• Adhere to NIST FIPS PUB 201-2 and OMB guidance for personal identity verification.
• Compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (no convictions for relevant crimes).
