About the role

Astyra is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for a full-time, permanent, direct-hire position with a cutting-edge multisite psychological practice that is revolutionizing geropsychology services in long-term care facilities across the United States.

As a Clinician, you will provide individual psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, behavioral management, and assessment services to residents in long-term care facilities in your region.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy to residents in long-term care facilities
• Conduct family therapy sessions
• Facilitate group therapy
• Implement behavioral management strategies
• Perform psychological assessments
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or willingness to obtain one (license reimbursement/assistance available)
• Experience working with the geriatric population (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records systems
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and facility staff
