Licensed Clinical Social Worker
About the role
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at David Raines Community Health Centers provides counseling, evaluation, intervention, case management services to individuals facing mental, social, familial, and/or medical challenges. This role involves examining the social and environmental factors affecting the client's life and providing community resources to improve their situation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating clients to identify their needs and recommending support options.
- Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing clinical treatment plans.
- Performing suicide risk assessments, threat assessments, and crisis de-escalation.
- Administering laboratory tests and providing individual therapeutic services.
- Coordinating services and resources, such as healthcare, community support, and financial aid.
- Informing patients/families about disease treatment plans, self-care, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care.
- Employment is exempt/FLSA during the SBHC calendar school year as established by the governing school board.
- SBHC employees are compensated only for hours worked during the SBHC operating hours. Employees are not paid during the summer when SBHC/schools are closed.
- Work schedules are generally Monday through Friday, based on clinical operations and the approved SBHC calendar year (August - May).
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- 2 - 5 years’ experience, preferably working with children and/or adolescents.
- Strong communication, crisis management, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Experience with electronic health records, preferably NextGen or similar EHR systems.
Licenses/Certifications
- Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the State of Louisiana.
- BLS (American Heart Association).
