Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Psychology, or other Human Services
  • Active Licensure as an LCDC
  • Preferred 2 years experience in the human services field

Position Description

Counsels and aids individuals and families dealing with substance abuse problems. Conducts interviews, reviews records, performs assessments and screenings, and confers with other professionals to evaluate the client's condition. Provides individual or group counseling to assist clients in overcoming chemical dependency or abuse. Conducts substance abuse didactic and education for clients and the general public. Maintains accurate documentation of all activities provided.
