Primary Purpose of Job
The License Analyst I is responsible for the research and preparation of filings and reports required by Federal, State, and Local authorities, while protecting the company’s interest and confidential information for all assigned store and non-store locations.Major functions

Research and Filing of License Applications
- Initiate contact and establish relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to maintain during and after the construction of new stores.
- Research licensing requirements for all applicable jurisdictions for new store locations to ensure that every new store meets all regulatory requirements before it opens.
- Research and interpret laws and regulations involving applications and gather supporting documentation.
- Maintain positive working relationships with individuals in and outside of the company, such as Real Estate Project Managers, Construction Managers, Division Personnel, Legal, and hired consultants and legal professionals, including providing regular updates as appropriate. Assist with the preparation of the annual licensing budget for assigned divisions.

Renewal of Licenses
- Prepare a monthly analysis of actual to budget for licensing expenses to provide to management.
- Review license applications prepared by other License Department members for accuracy as assigned and provide feedback or changes.
- Prepare any monthly, quarterly, or annual business volume reporting associated with liquor and/or business licenses.
- Aid in the preparation of the annual renewal licensing budget for assigned divisions.

Support for Transportation Management
- Maintain motor carrier registrations for QNT fleet as assigned by License & Property Tax Supervisor and provide copies to relevant parties.
- Obtain apportioned tags for new IRP/IFTA eligible vehicles, including truck tractors, box trucks, and trailers.
- Obtain replacement tags for lost, stolen, or damaged tags.

Projects and Various Duties
- Back up Accounting Admin as needed for specific duties including receipt management and bonds.
- Aid in the coordination of personal and real property tax efforts.
- Complete all projects on a timely basis as assigned by the License Supervisor.
- Maintain and update department procedures and standards.
Position in Organization

- Required education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Required experience: One year experience in an office/accounting environment OR one year QuikTrip Store experience.
- Required skills: Excel (intermediate), Access (intermediate), OneNote (intermediate), good time management and organizational skills, high level of concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail. Excellent writing, presentation, verbal communication, facilitation, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while responding to rapidly changing priorities. Must have strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels to communicate strategic and operational impacts. Strong analytical skills and the ability to take responsibility and demonstrate initiative. Must work independently with little direction. A strong appreciation for business processes, confidentiality, and risk.
