About the role

The physical therapist assistant functions under the supervision of a physical therapist to provide patient care and support activities, as outlined in the patient plan of care and according to the Federal and State guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with exercises and treatments as directed by the physical therapist.
• Help set up and adjust equipment used in therapy sessions.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Support patients with mobility and positioning needs during therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Current State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

Education

• AS: Associate of Science.

Licenses & Certifications

• PTA: Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS: Basic Life Support.

Employment Screening Requirements
